Dueling Self Portraits
I saw part of this idea online and thought it would be a really fun addition to our self portrait series. First I took photos of their profiles. They helped me turn them black and white/increase the contrast in photoshop we could print them off.
The black and white side was meant to represent their "proper" outward appearance.
Then they traced their profiles inverted and made colorful backgrounds to represent their creative selves. They filled their profile silhouettes with drawings of their inner identity and true thoughts.
Then we mounted their dueling portraits against each other:
