Lucy's American History
This year in pre-K homeschool, we took A LOT of field trips in honor of America's 250 - from NYC to Washington D.C. to Arlington to Philadelphia to the Historic Triangle.
And of course we took about a dozen field trips here at home in Boston, birthplace of the Revolution!
After our field trips, we would look at pictures together
to sketch the monuments or buildings.
Then she practiced using ink wash to paint in her pencil drawings.
She would also write the name of the place and
do a silly drawing of her and Aurelia in marker.
Kenton wrote sentences to remind her of why each place was important.
Finally I assembled it all together into a history yearbook
as another end of year gift for her pre-K graduation!
