Toddler Spring Class
I designed an art class for toddlers at the Golden Chickpea Center to allow them to try out many different mediums and combine them into one beautiful piece of art.
The first class they painted cardboard with glue and made layers of dirt, sand, and gravel.
Then we made creatures for our underground out of painted rope, styrofoam balls, and cotton balls.
Next we painted sporks as flowers, dyed cupcake wrappers, cut straws, and made bugs out of finger prints:
We ripped paper to make hills, stamped it with glue on forks, and sprinkled it with glitter. Then we traced each kids hand and forearm to make tree trunks and crumbled tissue paper for leaves:
.
Lastly we used blue water color and salt to make a sky. Then we used water color and coffee filters and a spray bottle to make rainbows and butterflies.
It was fun for toddlers to see all the separate parts coming together into one epic piece at the end.
